Overview

Clobber is a two-player game where the last player to move wins—therefore, ties are impossible. You try to win by maximizing your opportunities to capture opposing pieces, while at the same time minimizing your opponent's opportunities to capture your pieces.

Board

The standard Clobber board size is 10x10. Igfip™ supports a range of smaller and larger board sizes as well as rectangular boards and obstructed spaces.

Pieces

Each player starts with a number of pieces equal to half the spaces on the board. The pieces are arranged so as to fill the entire board, with each piece adjacent orthogonally to an opposing piece.

Rules

  1. Black moves first
  2. A piece may move to an orthogonally adjacent space that is occupied by an opposing piece. The opposing piece is replaced by the moving piece.
  3. The game ends when a player can no longer make a move on his turn. The last player to have moved wins.
